Patek Philippe

I haven't worn this watch for a long time now. But now its starting to call. I have had its cousin on my wrist for a while, but now the PCC is starting to call louder. I feel a trip to London may be needed. I think this will be the watch I wear to go to B...

it's simply perfection. The size convinced me over the 3970, which I do like a lot, bit the 5970 is overall better on the wrist.

......but i am with the 59 over the 39 for a number of reasons. The 5970 wears stunningly well on the wrist.

I have only worn the 5970R, so have had a chance to appreciate the proportions, dial layout of the 5970. However PP reached perfection with the P. As much as I love your 5370P, and the 5204P, the 5970 dial fills all spaces to perfection, and in this P ver... 

.......over the years, I have developed a pecking order and, yes, this one features very high. Not top dog fo rme, but certainly up there.

Top dog is the 3448. 5650G is No.2 5370P is No.3 After that, it gets tricky. ...  

......the 3448 has always been that for me. What has been a massive surprise has been the 5650G.

What are your thoughts on the 3970? I have a 5270 and I was thinking of looking for a vintage piece like the 3970P. Any thoughts would be great. CB

It does look thick and may sit high in the wrist. I however love the nostalgia associated with the 3970. Ultimately the watch is made to be worn on the wrist so I must try it on. Do you have experience with the 3970? Thanks for a great thread.

Yes I read your preferences upstream in this thread. I am sorry. I know the answer to my own question. I will try the 3940 on sometime hopefully. Until then I will continue to enjoy my 5270R Thank you.
