my wife wears one and loves it. She has a white strap, a red one and a black patent one. It' has become her favorite watch.
Well guess what?
She didn't like the 048 as it looked awkward and wasn't comfortable (small but bulky). Ended up getting the PAM 1392. Which looks like a proper Panerai in 1950 case, just smaller and slimmer at 42mm. What's even better is that the boutique didn't charge me for the Assolutamente strap that I wanted.

My wife fell in love with the Duo Pam 676 at 42 mm...
And the strap change bug bit her hard:
The watch came with a black croco set and an Assolutamente Boutique gift.
She later added a green and a red alligator set. I still have not photographed it with the beautiful red ones I installed in her watch last week end.
I feel the Duo line is a great option if size is a concern.
