Audemars Piguet

I travel a fair bit and have been looking for a single watch travel box/pouch that is convenient to carry. Went into the local AP boutique here for a browse and they happened to have one. It is the perfect size for the watch, has a decent finish (black soft leather or faux leather, I can't quite tell) and is perfect for travel. Quite reasonable too. I am on an iPad so haven't been able to post pics.

Thought I'd post to see if anyone else had picked either this or any other travel boxes/pouches up and what they found to be the best carrying case for frequent travel.

I always loved the Richard Mille offerings (as ridiculously expensive as they are)... but in my opinion there is no better option for the money than the Oakley Watch Vaults...
They are shaped perfectly for the RO and ROO bracelets, offered in two sizes, the smaller one usually carries my 15300 when I travel.

This is the larger of the two cases open with a Breitling Navitimer World (46mm) inside...


And this is the smaller case.


They are both really slim and hardened enough to protect the watch from drops or dings in transit, with some felt-ish stuff to keep the watch safe on the inside as well.

This is great. I am definitely going into Oakley here to see if they carry it. This has far more protection than the AP one. I'll keep the AP one for general storage.

Thank you for the recommendation. I was in North America and went into the Oakley store and grabbed a large and a small. They are outstanding value and protect the watch really well. My ROC doesn't seem to fit in the small one, so that's for my wife's watch.

Can't recommend the vault highly enough - cheap and does the job really well.

I use those as well.  They work great.  

I have one of the single vaults, but I usually like to take more than one watch. With this one, I can take two plus the one I'm wearing. It protects the watches really well and it fits well in my carry on bag.



I usually wrap the watches in plastic and have never had a problem.

That is a beautiful vault and a beautiful pair of watches. I'll have to wait to buy more watches!

Unfortunately I travel to countries where customs are very sticky so I can't carry more than one watch anyway.

I've just ordered an Axis 8 watch box which fits in my safe but I was also thinking of getting one of these to go with it for traveling and extra storage.  My box hasn't arrived yet but so can I ask how soft the cusions are..?

Looks really good even with 2 big pieces in....and stunning pieces too

I would say that the cushions are of medium softness. Their sides appear to be plastic pieces covered in foam and then suede(faux), while the middle is just foam covered in the same material. They are slightly compliant, but you can strap the watches tightly around them so that the watches don't slip. The lid of the box, when closed, puts a little pressure on the watches so that they don't move around. I put the plastic around them to make sure that they don't bump against each other( I have two 48mm Wyler chronos that when put together, almost touch). Hopefully this explanation makes some sense.

Anyone have the Orbita 3 Watch Roll Case? Think I might pick it up in the next week or so.

..Just thought that the previous two versions protect better. Btw. I only posted OEM offerings, so you can quite easily get them through their respective ADs.

After using the AP pouch on my first trip, I've found a flaw that seems to rule it out long term for me. The zip is covered with leather on the outside but the serrated edges are exposed on the inside, which means I need to protect the watch with a soft cloth to stop the bracelet getting scratched. I need to now look at the other options posted.

Thanks guys for the posts - keep them coming. Currently I am leaning toasted the Oakleys, which seem to protect the watch well. Any user reviews on these or others?

Have not actually used any of mine for real travelling purposes.. I take only one watch along, and strapped them on the wrist!

I've had several pouches in the past but settled with this one in the end, for me it's the perfect one to carry an extra watch while away from home, a bit pricey though
