Last November, during the
Hong Kong Watch Auction: XXI,
Phillips sold this
Jules Audemars platinum Repetition Minutes Carillon No. 1, ref. 25818PT.OO.D002XX.01 (it was
lot 1119).

With a case diameter of only
28 mm, it is believed to be the
smallest carillon repeater ever made (carillon=
3 hammers/gongs instead of 2) and the most diminutive minute repeater on the market.

@watcheeko on IG, recently posted
two photos of his watch as well as
two videos:

Here, the watch is in
good company with:
- Patek Philippe Ref. 5959P (a 33 mm Rattrapante)
- Patek Philippe Ref. 3939HP (34 mm Tourbillon Minute repeater)

The
Jules Audemars ref.
25818 was also made in
rose gold and the image below, from Antiquorum, shows the
movement.

bigger 39 mm brother featuring caliber
2890.

And an overall
similar design can be found in a
much simpler timepiece: the
36 mm
time only white gold manual winding
Jules Audemars ref.
15056BC.

The watch is powered by
caliber 3090.

I personally like the Jules Audemars design a lot and I find these timepieces, whether small or larger, simple or complicated, very appealing.
What about you?
