I would definitely take the Cartier.
I don't think it is any secret on here how bad I want a Cartier. So bad in fact that if/when
I get one I will promise myself it is my last watch purchase. Seriously, I have enough watches
and just don't need anymore, there are other things I would like to have other than watches.
At the top,of the list is a tank,
not sure I am not willing to give the quartz model a try.

Most Reversos bore me to tears...
...I get the history, etc., but they do nothing for me...
I am a fan of JLC.
But in this case, the Tank Americaine has more character. So my vote goes to the Cartier.
I would go JLC due to it’s versatility… can be dressed up or down

Make it a Tank Louis Cartier instead of an Americaine and we may have a different story!

I'm generally a fan of the Reverso (I have 3), but really only when the case flips to reveal some sort of complication. In fact, I wore this one today:

The Reverso Monoface doesn't do much for me, and that Tank is elegant.

re the more complicated reverso. I guess
the enamel work falls into a completely different
category. For this choice I'd take the Cartier.

Tough choice. I own and love Reverso (its a classic medium monoface). But the Americaine is so chic and elegant.
Problem is, until now Cartier only make large size of this model. It's too big an clunky. So I still vote for Reverso.

That said it is what Cartier does, so respect for that. In terms of what’s under the hood and case construction JLC all day (and night). I know Cartier gets a lot of love these days,but let’s not put them on the same horological plane as JLC. This is the house that made movements for Patek.
