Itβs been a long time since Iβve posted anything, so I figured I would share a picture I took earlier today. Two clean and simple looking watches. But looks can be deceiving.
Wow! Two models that are extremely representative of the Brand, even though obviously at very different levels of its catalog! Welcome back to the forum, and thanks for sharing two more gems from your impressive Patek collection!ππ₯
Nice to see you back. What other highlights are in the collection these days? I have a vague memory of 3970, 5970, 5370 maybe (complicated); curious if your collection is shifting towards simple
Iβve been lurking for a long time now, but will try posting periodically again. No more tourbillons or split seconds, these days, but still some special pieces. My favorite watch is still the 5970.
That 5078 with the black enamel dial could very well be "a perfect watch" for me. Even more so than the 5178 posted by Gordon a few days ago. I just prefer the black enamel dial but would combine it with Breguet numerals like on the 5178....

Just a minor nitpick to make it my "perfect watch."
I love the 5078, but just to correct any confusion, it doesnβt have an enamel dial. The white dial version is enamel, but the black dial is lacquered. Perhaps not quite as special, but it looks beautiful nonetheless. And the MR sound is spot on.
