Jaguar has officially initiated the process of "managed extinction" of its vehicles. All the models we know, from the F-Type to the E-Pace to the F-Pace, will no longer be produced and will not be replaced. This is an unprecedented industrial and commercial changeover, but one that is intended to voluntarily reposition the brand in line with the JLR Group's plans.
From 2025, Jaguar models will indeed be completely different... bigger, more exclusive and more expensive, with prices in the region of £100,000 or £110,000 and up. There will only be three models, and the first will be a GT saloon over five metres long. The cars will be exclusively electric and have a range of around 435 miles, but those who buy them will not do so for this reason, but "because of the emotions they arouse".

It's easy to look and laugh
I understand the confusion and disbelief of the rebranding... but, you know, clearly the demographic they were aiming is not interested anymore in Jaaag. They prefer Porsches and Lexus nowadays.
Jaguar obviously needs to catch some attention to survive. I'm only mad at the new font. It does look awful - cheap,fashion-like, the opposite of what it should convey.
I myself work for a BMW in IT dep (as an external employee) and can tell you they started counting money like crazy.

Lots of wood, leather, interior infinitely nicer place to be than the concurrent s class/7 series bunkers. Real sense of spaciousness and design in that cabin.
I think 2015 ish when they introduced the xe and replaced all the wood and leather with plastic trim is really when they lost it.

Back in the day, it took years of dedication to work your way from the mailroom to the boardroom.
This process instilled the core values of the company and burdened those that took the reins with the weight to safely further the company to the next generation.
Today, people are given control to companies without proving their mettle to responsibly guide them forward. Doctors work on the Hippocratic Oath of, “First, do no harm.” Today, CEOs and Executive Officers gamble with their companies.
Think about the campaign for Bud Light that imploded the brand.

Let’s face it, Jag has nothing to lose by starting from scratch. Glorious past aside, there’s nothing worth nurturing left in this brand.
Now, how their new adventure will turn out is obviously an open question. That they at least turn around and try something new, I salute. Look at most other European car makers who seem paralyzed in their cluelessness.
