… they are soooooo perfect

.
Last year i had a go in a new Boxster 4.0 400 hp, so the one that revs to 7800 rpm i guess.
Everything felt so perfect and flawless and that offcourse has its charm as well.
I also had the chance to compare the 300 hp 2.0 Cayman against the Alpine A110, my preference would be the A110 with quite a huge margin ….
But then … last year i had my friend’s A110 on loan for several months and actually every time i came back into my Renault Clio i realised how much more i love to drive that.
Clio on the right.
A110 in the middle.
My Megane on the left, Megane is also a seriously potent car (speed, but most of all handling) but it is heavy and like the Alpine a bit too perfect compared to the Clio.
Which brings us to the Peugeot 205 … you would think that this is my favorite then but there are limits 😂.
It is so light and feels so flimsy that it’s not really useable for my taste. Don’t get me wrong, it is huge fun to drive but not too long 😀.
Maybe a 205 Gti with a 1.9 16 valve 160/180 hp engine would be my favorite daily …. But for the moment the Clio is perfect.
(A 911 GT3 would most probably be more perfect … if i could afford one 😁😁😁).
Side note:
20 to 30 years ago i daily rode sportsbikes like CBR’s , Bimota, Ducati at very high speed and in the most uncomfy possibilities you can imagine.
Modena to Belgium in one day on a tiny 600cc Bimota with my 6’6 remember 😅 and other cray rides scratching exhaust, killing mirrors, hitting birds, rocks, bricks, cars … jumping at 120+ mph, extreme high speed steering whobbles and just managing to keep it on the road, coming home and realising my jeans were torn and knees bleeding a bit 😵💫 … .
I am pretty sure i was quite skillfull but also had a very good guardian angel.
So you can imagine that even now at 50+ of age i don’t want a car that is too comfy or easy to drive 🙄.
