I wear all my watches and the main reason of not wearing them often is plain ---laziness..... I will have 2-3 pieces in my drawer so the tendency is to put on that same 2-3 until I do the next rotation which can be quite a while. And some will not get int...

For several reasons some watches have always been safe queens and others have become so. The latter usually due to changes in value (it is what it is). Here’s one the fits the former, it’s just never been worn, by anyone. And I just can’t bring myself to ...  

Especially the dial, I like. Do you know what year this is from?

It is one of the earlier ones, but not the original run which I think had the same dial, same small black second hour hand BUT a different caseback. The first run, which was 1964 had the Olympic flame on the caseback, initially etched and then later stamp... 

Perhaps a simple calf strap could look nice?

I would go for a beige or light brown color I think it would match perfectly… I wish I could see it in the metal… maybe one day it looks really cool ...

I have quite a few others. I never keep anything in the 'plastic' so to speak but things end up in the Bank for too long some times due to living in a few different countries on opposite sides of the planet. Some like the 5098P I thought I would like but ... 

Do you think that it is because it is too "retro"/ elegant?. I thought about this one several times but there is also perhaps too elegant like it would go better with a tux than my much more casual style?!

Dial, hands, cool complication, overall look ... If it was a pocket watch it would be perfect, but as a wristwatch ... Ok, well it’s too heavy, and setting date with a pusher or toothpick is a bit retro, and I might have overpaid (and/or prices are soft)....  

I’m surprised you said that it is too heavy as it looks like it fits your wrist well. It’s looks like a nice movement.

I did a measurement on the weight of these three gold watches Halter=82g GO Panorama Date Moon=112g GO Chronometer=169g It’s more than double the weight of the Vianney Halter Classic! Mike ...  

I’m jealous about your VH. I’ve considered it many times. My fear was if it would get enough wrist time. Also if it would be fragile with those sharp edges so it would only be for very special occasions. What is your experience with it as an owner?

Only comes out on special occasions or around the house, I’m afraid. But it hasn’t got many scars, thankfully. Vianney said a polish back to new condition takes almost an entire week, so just wear it. ...

Let me add some of mine. The Seiko 2220-0630. A Playboy branded watch but having a hand wound hi-beat movement and palladium case - from 1978, IIRC. My Breitling Aerospace. A graduation present, which I love most dearly but wear very rarely nowadays. A Po...  

But even though it is 36mm, the thick bezel and lugless design make it wear really small 🤷🏻‍♂️

Firstly Thank you so much for taking the job as Judge this weekend. Something about that Playboy piece I quite like. It’s v quite dandy in a fun way. The accutron is something I’ve considered many times because it is fun and original- my only concern was ... 

The combination resulted in a very specific, very Germanic design language on the one hand and some spectacular technology on the other. The divers you mention - so thin for the water resistance, that many watch manufacturers nowadays would do well to emu... 

I can’t think of the number of times I’ve wanted to pick up one of the Porsche divers. I think they have potential to become classics down the road. Certainly, they are very cool and wearable?

I hope someone will make divers like these again in the future 👍🏻
