I asked in a separate post whether I could register a pre-owned watch I had recently acquired, and the consensus was that I should be able to. Or if it had already been registered, they'd let me know that.
I got this response, both in email and as a physical letter. It only acknowledges that I am requesting to be added to the book, not that I have been. (Though it does say the watch has been registered.) It seems like this indicates that, but the wording is quite ambiguous. I was waiting to see if there would be a follow-up confirming that they've gone through the records and confirmed no one else had registered this, but it's been a month and this is the last I've heard on the matter. Has anyone else gone through this process?
Reads like a pretty clear confirmation to me... they refer to 'your' watch being registered, so that's pretty reaffirming as far as I would be concerned.

I agree with you, I initially thought it was clear, but in the end, I am wondering... The watch has been registered (fact), and you have all the numbers, whether your NAME was registered, is where the ambiguity lies, not guaranteed from what I can read !
It could be that the name of the initial owner is there and not yours ! I agree with your questioning...!

This is the standard letter with the standard wording (in English language). I have several of them, but I bought my watches new, in the local Breguet Boutique.
I was told that only the first owner can be entered in the archive (I rather trust the boutique manager than Chat-GPT).
But maybe you are lucky and the first owner of your watch didn't register (after all, it's optional).
