The Moonwatch has exceeded all expectations.

 By: MichaelC : February 2nd, 2020-09:22
Got this one last summer, and have been overly content with it. In 20 years of collecting, I can't think of another watch that offers so much at this pricepoint. And I find the same high level of enjoyment wearing this as I do an AP or The Freak. Bravo Om...

Agree 100%

It was my grail when I was 15-16 And only about 30 years later I bought one During this 30 years I had several Patek, AP, Lange, zenith, JLC, Rolex, and many others But it took me long to buy that speedmaster and I don’t know why Only thing I know is.... ...

"Only thing I know is... should have done it much sooner". My thoughts exactly, Bruno!

20 years of AP, Panerai, Ulysse Nardin and some others for me... and then finally I got this Omega. We all experience types of evolution as a collector / enthusiast. My current phase, which started to take shape these past 5 years, is only buying watches ...

Great!

Very true

This watch indeed gives a lot of bang for a buck. What I love about it is that it’s inconspicuous, sporty yet strangely also a touch of elegance. One of those watches you can wear every time everywhere and at any occasion. Add to it that it will never bre...

Good you can wear his every now and then.

A Family piece!

Well there was a price to pay

 By: Jurry : February 5th, 2020-05:09
Because my son subsequently declared my entire collection “family property” as well and took off with my Overseas Chrono haha. Which is great after all nothing as gratifying as watching your kids have become watch addicts as well and both now have a nice ...

I sort of see that too.

This one is so pleasurable, why not?

perfectly-put

I have only been watch-collecting for 13 years, and only recently did I "see the light" Every watch collector, truly, does need to own a speedmaster at some point in their collecting career. Thoroughly-enjoying my ashamedly-non-moon-related Speedie ...

amazing watch -- moon related or not.

also nice orange accents ! looks great on you

Hello Lankysudanese! What an stunning and powerful shot you share here with your first picture! Great shot! The modern Racing Speedy version is a beautiful watch...

... both in its black dial or silver dial. The orange/red accents on indexes and handset and on the bezel "Tachymetre" word add a very special sporty touch to the watch and look awesome on the wrist. Though I personaly prefer the more traditional manual m...

What a wonderfully-kind response

Thank you, Abel, Truly, thank you. I am more than enamored by this watch. The amalgamation of modern technology and classical looks leads to a superb final product.

Great watch, great photo.

It has been years, unfortunately, since I "pulled one back". I am known as a gun enthusiast, and I am, but I prefer shooting a bow. So peaceful and relaxing.

It was my first attempt at 🏹

 By: Lankysudanese : February 5th, 2020-09:28
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for the compliments on the photo

I feel that way about the larger models.

 By: MichaelC : February 5th, 2020-05:05
I love the dials and details, but they are too thick and look funny on my wrist. But maybe not a bad thing, I could not afford as many as I would like to try!

This is a watch that is truly out of this world...

Worn by heroes of the race to conquer space and available for us to own. Keep enjoying it Michael ! ...

What a wonderful vintage yours is!

I wish 10 years ago I chased one from years before that. Such charm!

Agree 200%

many watches in my collection but the moonwatch has an amazing value...may be the best value. Also it is generally available so Omega (at least for now) doesn't play the game of others..I love that. And of course is the brand of 007

All good points.

 By: MichaelC : February 5th, 2020-05:07
What a novel idea - make a watch so many people want, make enough that the wait is never too long (if at all), and price it fairly. WOW!

Thank you dear, Nico.

I consider myself somewhat seasoned as a collector, but it took many years to open my eyes towards this light. Better late than never!

That is my kind of chocolate!

 By: MichaelC : February 5th, 2020-05:09
I would gleefully add that one some day....

And when I changed the clasp to an adjustable one, it made it so comfortable that practically I don't need another watch for any season.

 By: Pun : February 2nd, 2020-20:02
It wears smaller than 42mm too. I agree in toto with you sir that a good collection should have at least one Speedmaster Moonwatch. ...

I never mentioned the comfort, the bracelet fits me very well.

 By: MichaelC : February 5th, 2020-05:10
The links feel soft and smooth, good qualities for a metal bracelet!

Great to read about your love for the Moonwatch!

Looks like it it getting much wrist time 👍 best regards

Yes. Off a few days since I started this thread, but back on today.

 By: MichaelC : February 5th, 2020-05:10
Thanks for reading the post.

Hello dear Michael! Completely agree with your comments. I feel a big part of the attraction this watch offers is its strong connection with the history of Space race and Moon Landing...

 By: Subexplorer : February 3rd, 2020-05:22
... as well as its timeless design. Otherwise, it is a very practical timepiece, a size which pleases almost everyone, etc. You illustrate your comments with some beautiful shots. Keep enjoying and loving it! Cheers! Abel

Thanks Abel! I know you love this brand too.

Your photos, and those of so many others here, were wonderful tools when I made the decision to grab one!

I like how you worded that.

 By: MichaelC : February 5th, 2020-05:12
Full agreement!

A great watch

 By: Pelican1960 : February 5th, 2020-09:09
Bought my Speedy Pro in September. Enjoying it a great deal and I use the chronograph more than I expected. It’s a fun complication. The watch keeps excellent time as well.

I also find myself using the chrono function on this particular timepiece more than I do on other chronos.

 By: MichaelC : February 9th, 2020-07:42
I love watching the white hands move atop the black dial.

Very well said

A true classic and great value for money Keep on enjoying it! Cheers

Thank you my Friend. Omega has a good vibe for me.

 By: MichaelC : February 9th, 2020-07:43
I should have engaged this brand earlier in my collecting days. They deliver everything I am looking for in a watch.

Congrats dear Michael!

 By: renerod : February 9th, 2020-11:06
Seems that you’ve found one of those watches that seem to have it all, including affordability. It is good to have and enjoy those watches. The bracelet is very good, but the speedmaster is algo a “strap monster”, you can those a nato, a vintage style one...

Thank you, and great point on strap options!

 By: MichaelC : February 10th, 2020-10:24
The bracelet has been great so far, but it seems many straps would be wonderful with this case and dial.

I agree 100%. Cheers! [nt]
