20 years of AP, Panerai, Ulysse Nardin and some others for me... and then finally I got this Omega. We all experience types of evolution as a collector / enthusiast. My current phase, which started to take shape these past 5 years, is only buying watches I completely believe will remain in my collection. I used to try and sell one as I added one, and never wanted more than 4 or 5 nice pieces. But now I am OK to slowly add real "keepers".
A resulting condition is loving them all about the same, but not having time to indulge them all enough. A good issue to deal with 
The Moonwatch has exceeded all expectations.
Got this one last summer, and have been overly content with it. In 20 years of collecting, I can't think of another watch that offers so much at this pricepoint. And I find the same high level of enjoyment wearing this as I do an AP or The Freak. Bravo Om...

Completely agree...I have been fortunate to own many amazing watches from a variety of manufacturers and all I can say is that the Omega Speedmaster is about as iconic as it gets...
I also see an Apollo 8 in your future Michael but it might not be your last Speedmaster either

It has been years, unfortunately, since I "pulled one back". I am known as a gun enthusiast, and I am, but I prefer shooting a bow. So peaceful and relaxing.

I feel that way about the larger models.
I love the dials and details, but they are too thick and look funny on my wrist. But maybe not a bad thing, I could not afford as many as I would like to try!

many watches in my collection but the moonwatch has an amazing value...may be the best value. Also it is generally available so Omega (at least for now) doesn't play the game of others..I love that. And of course is the brand of 007

I consider myself somewhat seasoned as a collector, but it took many years to open my eyes towards this light. Better late than never!
And when I changed the clasp to an adjustable one, it made it so comfortable that practically I don't need another watch for any season.
It wears smaller than 42mm too. I agree in toto with you sir that a good collection should have at least one Speedmaster Moonwatch. ...
I never mentioned the comfort, the bracelet fits me very well.
The links feel soft and smooth, good qualities for a metal bracelet!

Hello dear Michael! Completely agree with your comments. I feel a big part of the attraction this watch offers is its strong connection with the history of Space race and Moon Landing...

A great watch
Bought my Speedy Pro in September. Enjoying it a great deal and I use the chronograph more than I expected. It’s a fun complication. The watch keeps excellent time as well.
I also find myself using the chrono function on this particular timepiece more than I do on other chronos.
I love watching the white hands move atop the black dial.

Seems that you’ve found one of those watches that seem to have it all, including affordability. It is good to have and enjoy those watches. The bracelet is very good, but the speedmaster is algo a “strap monster”, you can those a nato, a vintage style one...

The bracelet has been great so far, but it seems many straps would be wonderful with this case and dial.
