HI Everyone... Do you remember a time that you were not thinking about watches ? Before you became a Watch Idiot Savant or a WIS ? My nephew was looks at some old photos.. My brother's wedding album. He took a photo and sent it to my cel phone! I had a la...  

Here it is. It was on my wrist for quite a while, 1987, Vietnam, somewhere in the countryside....  

1. In the 70s the first watch I remember was the Omega deville my father gave me. I still have it. 2. Around 1980 I progressed to a Casio with alarm (Wow!!!) and calendar and light. Went in the trash bin when I moved up to... 3. A Citizen quartz around la...

. . . and I don't recall a television set in the hotel room. I distinctly recall being fitted for a woolen suit, the ultimate insult for an eleven year old. The watch was meant both to complete the outfit and to make up for the awful experience of wearing...

I was attracted, fascinated by watches since my tenderest chilhood. It all began with a Timex my Godfather ( the real one, MINE, not the Mafia one, eeeh? ) gave my for my 6th or 7th Xmas. I spent so many sleepless nights just because I was proud, just bec...

... at the age of 7 i got my first watch ... a "Kelton" diver with blue dial and bezel, my brother got a black one .... i was so jealous because i really would like to have had the black one (i'm still crazy about black dialled watches) . I remember "play... 

.. probably at the age of 8. And at the same time I fell in love with a chronograph at the local optomometrist.. a watch he didn't sell for many years or never.? The shop closed when I was 14 and actually I believe the owner kept it for himself.. still to... 

The first watch I can remember was an OMEGA (believe it or not...!) Geneve automatic, goldplated which I received at a gift at ten... It was much too early for such a valuable watch and I did not care much about it - so it was beaten up soon. After some y... 

But mostly bought cheap and threw them away once showing wear . . . the oldest survivor from 1983, a Certina quartz This Seiko was a daily wearer for a number of years, acquired in about 1989...
