A few pictures of a nice Vintage Divers: The Omega CK 2913 SM 300.

 By: amanico : August 23rd, 2011-05:54
Life is curious, but the phenomenon is well known by a majority of us: It is when you loose something that you really feel how much you miss it. This is certainly the case of the Seamaster 300. I had a very nice CK 14 755, which I sadly lost. With a bit o...

I wish...

Hi Nicolas, I wish I had such a wonderful piece in my collection - you seem to be a lucky guy this time. I wish you good luck! best erich

Bad luck can't hit all the year long, Erich.

When I fell on this one, I had the feeling it could replace my ( not too bad ) 14755. I will soon know if I can get it. But it sings loud to me. Best, and thanks for your nice words, Erich. Nicolas.

Marvelous watch

Nicolas, I was under the impression that you are in vacations! This CK 2913 is a good reason to return. Cheers and good luck on this one.

I'm still on holidays, for a few days...

 By: amanico : August 23rd, 2011-07:34
But I'm preparing my " come back ". Thanks a lot, Nilo. Best, Nicolas.

Best of luck, Nicolas

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX That's actually my dream-Omega ... just the thin bezel does the business for me .... Bim

I hope that you break a leg.

 By: grigo : August 23rd, 2011-12:20
It is really a lovely watch and I sincerely hope that it comes your way. Best regards, George

That is an excellent piece , hope you can get & enjoy it ,rgds

Can't replace all my stolen pieces....

 By: amanico : August 23rd, 2011-23:26
But if I can for a few of them, yes, it would be great. I specially love this one, as I am a fan of Vintage Diving watches, and find that it is one of the most beautiful from this golden era, the Fifties. Fingers crossed. Best, Nicolas.

Certainly worthy of your collection...

 By: mrsnak : August 23rd, 2011-18:36
...and a very acceptable example. Bezel does look replaced, but it's not out of character condition-wise for the watch as a whole. Hope all the stars align for you.

Honestly, don't know about the bezel, but if redone, it is a nice one.

 By: amanico : August 23rd, 2011-23:29
Therefore, the rest of the watch is in awesome condition, and it sings so loud to me! Best, my friend. Nicolas. This message has been edited by amanico on 2011-08-23 23:29:52

what do you not like about the bezel Mr. Snak ?

 By: Bill Sohne : August 24th, 2011-17:58
Hi Mr. Snak What do you not like about the bezel? Good Hunting Bill Sohne

I only thought it might have been renewed...

 By: mrsnak : August 24th, 2011-18:24
...even harder to identify considering the great overall condition of the watch and the angle of photography. Looks good in any respect.

I thought so too…

 By: francois : August 25th, 2011-06:20
There is someone, I don't remember the specifics (but I do have his email address stashed somewhere…), who is able to repair these bezels, originally made of bakelite, and now often found in very bad shape. From what I have seen, he does a very good job. ...

Yes, you're certainly speaking about the italian gentleman...

 By: amanico : August 25th, 2011-09:13
I sent him my bezel on my 14755, and he really did an awesome job. I may have his details somewhere... The only con is the requested time: 3 months for mine. But the quality is here. Best, Nicolas.

Hard to tell about the bezel

 By: MSNWatch : August 26th, 2011-04:25
I personally think it doesn't matter because the watch overall looks great. If it was redone by the Italian craftsman referred to here, it is as good a restoration as you are going to get. If I were to cast "some doubt" I would have pointed out that it wa...

Thanks for the information. Will try to check that point. [nt]

 By: MSNWatch : August 23rd, 2011-19:28
And regret that decision to this day. I hope you don't make the same mistake I did!

It is also a kind of terrific Pandora's box, MSNWatch...

 By: amanico : August 23rd, 2011-23:32
Once I will get this one ( IF I get it ), I know myself, I will hunt a CK 2914... Then, I will be tempted with the 2915... But I feel there are worse things in life. Best, And Thanks! Nicolas;

Yes Nico we remember your sad loss....

i'm glad your able to replace some of the pieces you lost, this time with what could be perceived as a more desirable model, the one you would have bought originally if the opportunity had arisen. fingers crossed for you my friend Graham

How soon . . .

 By: Dr No : August 25th, 2011-12:38
. . . is soon? In time for Friday Wrist Scan, I hope ;-) . . .

No, my friend. I just came back home, after a 1300 Kms road trip in the day.

 By: amanico : August 26th, 2011-12:55
Therefore I have to work on my summer pics, and to call the seller to see if we can close the deal. But the good news is that he ( this bloody Devil ) let me the watch for the holidays, just to " help " me to take the right decision. So, soon is not today...

superb catch amanico, a very nice and rare early sm 300

 By: georgeszaslavsky : August 26th, 2011-01:46
