Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the 105.003 Speedmaster is the one to have. It represents the point were all the design elements I love came together. I also like the fact that the 105.003 does not have the word "Professional" on the dial. At that time, the 105.003 was the one and only Speedmaster offered. I think it also still has the old style applied Omega logo. Regardless, that is a fantastic piece.
I also owned an automatic Speedmaster reduced. It was a Shumacher edition with the yellow dial. I have no complaints about it.
However, once I got the manual wind professional, I never wore it and sold it.
I apologize for posting the price paid for the watch. I can certainly see why this is the case. Unfortunately, it appears that I can't edit my post otherwise I would remove it.

i love them and own 3 handwind and 1 auto. 2 speedy pro's both from 1964, a 105.003 and a 105.012 which means one with flat lugs and one with curved lugs which remains unchanged today other than the movement as both mine are the classic 321. in my opinion...

Thanks for the review, but about reverse hacking
I'm not so sure that hacking the movement by putting reverse pressure on the crown (aka reverse hacking) is the best thing for the movement.
It was previously discussed
and the conclusion was that it depends, but do so with caution (which in the WIS world just means don't do it)
