It seems to be quite "rare" as far I am now looking for one. I would rather wear it with a black leather strap, not saying the original brown doesn't look good.

I am sure it will look bigger due to the dial and case design.
I think it is a formidable dress watch in 36 mm. My 39.2 mm look "wide" and "bulbous" due to the very thinn bezel and domed sapphire.

Yes, black/grey NATO in particular will look fab with this one. But in all steel it Looks pretty masculine.
The bracelet tapers just a little, but it does.
None-tapering bracelets are not my first choice, albeit my Seamaster 300 from 2005 has got one, but here it is very elegantly done. ...

It was offered in three ior four case sizes if my memory doesn´t fail. A 36mm, a 42 mm and a XXL version which of course was much larger. I I see you got the 39 mm one. I owned the 42 mm size one and enjoyed it so much. Now it resides in my son-in-law wat...

Yes, it is the middle sized one in 39.2 mm, you know me! 😀 No surprise to me that you have owned it too and that your former watch has a nice story behind it . I am trying to find the 36 mm version too as this 39.2 mm looks "big" and I assume in 36 mm it ...
My pleasure dear Count. The smaller 36 mm version looks more vintage I feel. But the larger 39mm looks very nice on your wrist. That´s just a matter of personal taste of course.

Yes. more vintage in 36 mm and on a black leather strap it will be a fine dress watch.
In 39.2 mm it is sporty, masculine daily wearer.

You are right, it is a very easy to read watch and the dial is asking your eyes to linger a little longer. I was kidding, when I asked myself about the tropical aging dial. You are right, it is unlikely. 😀
