not sure about the second hand, but it goes round once a minute so what more should i be looking for can mine join in, a couple of little brothers and sisters. if you find anyone who can redo the bezel numbers please let me know. best Graham...
This Early SM 300 ( Am I right in the denomination ? ) is getting very high in my wish list, since I saw Mr " Fifty Quids " one! I love a lot the dial, these pseical hands, and the thin and beautiful bezel. Will have to find one, now!!! Damn Jeff and Grah...
everythings fair in love and war Nico :) i'd kill to own a platinum skeleton minute repeater, but its not possible and everytime you show it my stomach turns upside down :) best Graham
....what a shame ;-) I have forgotten to thank our fellow PurisT Joeyza : when he read the post about my project, he sent me some spare parts he had in his drawer after having his SM 300 serviced. There is - among other things - a complete set of sword ha...
it does look a bit out of place. perhasp staining it with tea would improve it. it just seems so clean that it stands out from the rest. if it blended with the other patination it wouldnt be so obvious. i think you owe Joe big time for all those parts. be...
i think i can Jeff. i have several books on speedmasters including an excellent one from Japan. i've also read all the sites i can find and there is no picture anywhere of an OEM Speedmaster with a lollipop hand. the 2915 has a non lumed thin needle point...
as I have seen several examples of Speedmasters with "aged" lolipop hands. But they are much rarer than the straight hands. Concerning the Seamaster, I have just found this original Omega document that proves that hands similar to mine have been used on t...
Jeff, i stand corrected on the SM300 lollipops as i am more than happy to admit, but at this point i believe lollipops were never a factory part for the speedy. i've put a more detailed explaination in reply to MSNwatch. the best ref books i've ever found...
i think we need Bill to answer this one. i have searched every reference i have on speedmasters which is quite extensive and also gone through Chuck's site with a fine tooth comb and can find no picture or verbal mention of lollipop hands on speedmasters....
ah Jeff, thats one book i havent got. are these owners examples that may have been altered or pics as they left bienne? i'm more than happy to be wrong. we'll have to wait for Bill to pick up on it i think. best Graham
MSN, i dont want to sound pedantic as that is really not the kind of person i am, but are these pics of watches exactly as they came from Omega? i fully appreciate that there are some around with lollipops on, but i've seen nothing anywhere that states th...
....the black/brown strap combo is outstanding. Nice job maintaining the vintage look and resisting the temptation to fuss around too much. Enjoy and take my word on this..... don't wear in or near water!
it looks to be in uncommonly good condition. if its a replacement insert i'd like to know where it came from. alternatively i'd really like my numerals redone, but unless its perfect it will look rubbish. perhaps best to leave it original. its also really...
Hi Jeff The early Seamaster 3oos ( flat lug ) style are one of my favorites. This 2913 is the only 300 left in my collection... Just thinking about it it was the first one in my collection as well. Many years ago ( approx 25 years ) my parents home was br...
we all know it was used on the SM300, but there is a question on whether it was ever officially used on the speedy. there are some pics and owners like Jeff with lollipops on their 2998's, but none of what i would consider the definitive ref books like th...
