Pete, i dont think there is any need to reply to Hans in the way you did

firstly, i'm not a moderator nor ever likely to be one, but having been a regular contributor on this forum for a number of years i think i have the right to say what i am about to say.

when you first came onto the forum you were, to be polite, antagonistic, but you seemed to change your attitude and we've had some excellent discourse about some great watches. it seemed that you had settled into the forums friendly and relaxed nature, however, it saddens me to say that this post to Hans shows all the signs of your previous antagonistic nature.

Hans has given, what i consider to be a perfectly reasonable reply to your post on the hour vision. it is clear that Hans doesnt like the sides of the hour vision so looked at the AT only to find he doesnt like the date aperture on it. those are perfectly reasonable reasons not to buy a watch.

you have to remember that not everyone on this forum is rolling in money. many are, but there are a lot of us who are not, so if you are spending what you consider a large amount of money on a watch you want it to be absolutely right for you. no point buying the AT to always feel disappointed when you look at the date.

i for one, although i have some very nice watches, am extremely poor and rarely buy new watches simply because i cant afford to. if i were to buy a new AT i would also want it to be absolutely perfect, not just a compromise.

i would ask that before you post a comment like you did you think first about the effect it will have on the recipient and the way it will make you look to others. this last comment of yours has in effect spoilt what was a very good and interesting thread.

my best regards

Graham
