Life is curious, but the phenomenon is well known by a majority of us: It is when you loose something that you really feel how much you miss it. This is certainly the case of the Seamaster 300. I had a very nice CK 14 755, which I sadly lost. With a bit o...
When I fell on this one, I had the feeling it could replace my ( not too bad ) 14755. I will soon know if I can get it. But it sings loud to me. Best, and thanks for your nice words, Erich. Nicolas.
But if I can for a few of them, yes, it would be great. I specially love this one, as I am a fan of Vintage Diving watches, and find that it is one of the most beautiful from this golden era, the Fifties. Fingers crossed. Best, Nicolas.
...and a very acceptable example. Bezel does look replaced, but it's not out of character condition-wise for the watch as a whole. Hope all the stars align for you.
Therefore, the rest of the watch is in awesome condition, and it sings so loud to me! Best, my friend. Nicolas. This message has been edited by amanico on 2011-08-23 23:29:52
There is someone, I don't remember the specifics (but I do have his email address stashed somewhere…), who is able to repair these bezels, originally made of bakelite, and now often found in very bad shape. From what I have seen, he does a very good job. ...
I sent him my bezel on my 14755, and he really did an awesome job. I may have his details somewhere... The only con is the requested time: 3 months for mine. But the quality is here. Best, Nicolas.
I personally think it doesn't matter because the watch overall looks great. If it was redone by the Italian craftsman referred to here, it is as good a restoration as you are going to get. If I were to cast "some doubt" I would have pointed out that it wa...
Once I will get this one ( IF I get it ), I know myself, I will hunt a CK 2914... Then, I will be tempted with the 2915... But I feel there are worse things in life. Best, And Thanks! Nicolas;
You probably already know how I feel about that one, Nicolas. And the bezel is already done. Fingers crossed! Alex This message has been edited by AAP on 2011-08-24 08:34:35
I really hope you get it, my friend! The day I start with Omega I hope to find me one of these… So beautiful – looking a lot like another watch we know very well…! Best Blomman
Hi Nicolas A vacation purchased watch is my favorite !!! You will always remember where you were when you saw and and pulled the trigger... Please let us know how it turns out !! Good Hunting Bill
i'm glad your able to replace some of the pieces you lost, this time with what could be perceived as a more desirable model, the one you would have bought originally if the opportunity had arisen. fingers crossed for you my friend Graham
Therefore I have to work on my summer pics, and to call the seller to see if we can close the deal. But the good news is that he ( this bloody Devil ) let me the watch for the holidays, just to " help " me to take the right decision. So, soon is not today...
