many thanks Tony, reading your article which i agree totally and reflect what i wanted to say in mind as well.
one thing i mostly agreed is that during this journey, the most valuable reward is to know a lot of good friends regardless whether how many nice watches collected.
my journey was from a quite lonely start, made mistake, learnt again and learnt again and again. the fortunate thing is that if without presence and support from these friends, may be i won't stay on and give up for long ago.
by the way, congrats on your very stunning geneve.

Here are some photos of the watch prior to the dial replacement and polish. As you can see, the case must have suffered from quite a bit of oxidation, as the 'before and after' disparity is quite clear! I was too thick to realize it before the polishing, ...

One other point to consider...
is that new (or NOS) dials often tend not to look warm under artificial lighting. This one, like most, really shows best under natural light.
