Long rumored that Omega would open a boutique on Newbury St. After landing at Logan, I was heading towards Newbury St. for a coffee run when I was pleasantly surprised to see the Omega Boutique was finally opened: Although I recently saw the black dial Se...  

But those watches are really nice so no problem for me

But like yourself, I’m more interested in the watches!🥂

I was at the Natick Mall Boutique several times. It was always very slow when I was in there. No more than 2 customers tops every time I was there. Very cool place to visit, and view / try-on watches. They had competition right across the street at Barmak... 

When Omega released their Trilogy collection back in 2017. That’s when I discovered they had closed. Great to hear you had some great experiences there, Jesse!🥂

But I personally enjoy a bit of privacy when checking watches, even if just window shopping and I generally dislike being part of the display. Entry and mid level brands tend to be particularly bad at it, even if there's generally one or more rooms in the... 

There is an area where there’s ’slightly’ more privacy. But I don’t remember if there was a door for that area. But you bring up a great point, my friend!🥂

It’s a little funny how after so many years in the shadow of NY that boutiques sprang up on Newbury in record time. I couldn’t believe in the past when I saw RM was going to be opening. That must have been a harbinger of things to come. I wonder if AP sta... 

It's genuinely shocking how many watch brand boutiques Boston has right on Newbury street now: Patek, VC, Lange, Richard Mille, Rolex, Omega, Breitling, IWC, Panerai, Cartier, and Hublot ALL ON THE SAME BLOCK! With AP just around the corner and Grand Seik... 

On the same street , a short walk away!! That’s a ton of competition all within half a mile

They’re upgrading their space at the moment. Rolex probably wants / demands their own more dedicated space away from the other brands!🤷

That would be too big a hit, and I’d feel bad for the SAs (and clientele) who’d been with Tourneau over the years.

I don’t have any documented proof. But I’ve heard that Hublot didn’t sell a single piece from any U.S. boutique during the fourth quarter!😳 It wasn’t that long ago you had to put your name on a waitlist. How the times have changed, Ian!🥂

But that is sad to know that a relatively new boutique closed down so quickly😔.

I mean, multiple levels of wildness: Wild that they closed that quickly! But totally reasonable to close if they literally had not sold a single item in the 4th quarter. But in that case wild that they didn't!

LVMH likes to play monopoly and keep their brands together. All their other brands are in copley, maybe there is an opening in the mall they will move to? With the F1 sponsorship I imagine they don't want to let off the gas yet....

But it’s funny you mentioned this. I was in NYC back in December and the 5th Avenue Hublot Boutique will be moving next to the Tag Heuer Boutique on 5th Avenue.

He already has Tiffany and LV on the corners, Hublot next to LV, and he offered to buy Bergdorf on the other side of hublot. I bet Hublot will popup again in Boston eventually, they just don't have a new home decided yet.

They had one in Natick who would regulate and pressure test your Omega while you waited.

However, this titanium Seamaster series is unexpectedly good-looking. In reality, I don’t see many people wearing this watch. Is it heavier than other models?

Omegas website, unlike many others, gives you nearly every technical information you might need.

I didn’t notice any significant differences in weight. Plus, Omega used titanium for the bezel. The case and bracelet are stainless steel. If you are after a titanium only, then you want to look at the NTTD.🥂 ...  

Was really hoping they'd bring in Swatch too. There was a rumor that might happen. A missed opportunity. But wonderful that Omega is finally open in Back Bay!

I can’t recall seeing any Swatch section in an Omega boutique. And this is the sixth Omega boutique I’ve been to in the last several weeks. I’m hoping and praying for a Breguet Type XX that more true to the original size. I saw a photo of a possible Swatc... 

... that if someone in Boston wants to look at a Swatch, they have to go to NYC.

I wonder if Breitling will be next.
