a new phrase to describe original......or does it ??
i came across this phrase whilst looking at a highly respected fleabay dealer, its a new one on me, but i think its brilliantly written to confuse.
'Brilliant original dial restored in silver using original applied silver baton hour markers and new Swiss made silver dagger hands'.
i know what it means and i'm sure you all do, but this will just dupe the unwitting buyer who wants a nice looking vintage watch. its a shame people have to resort to such measures to justify a mint dial.
he also has a 'Turler' seamaster, or does he ? thats how its advertised, but can anyone be sure thats how it started life ?
just a midweek thought.

I have made the same experience... Sometimes the watches are presented so badly and when you run a risk and buy (even with poor pictures in the description) it may turn out perfectly... I had luck several times when running a risk, but I have also "burnt"...
