This is my first time sending my watch in for a service at local Omega boutique after ownership of close to 10 years, and wasn't really sure what to expect as I've heard some horror stories online. Glad when I picked up the watch, it is looking close to b...  

You took the right decision about a full service as, after 10 years, your timepiece needed, at least, new oils. Now, it is ok for the next 7 to 10 years. Regarding the little dust, if you know a good watchmaker around you, he could help you as it is just ... 

I wasn't really sure to expect for polishing so I thought I might give it a try. Probably wont do it again for future watches though! I'm glad the softening of the lines is just very slight. This piece is definitely a keeper=)

Regarding the polishing, just keep in mind that the more angles your watch has (Royal Oak for instance), the more difficult will be the polishing. Of course, it\'s always possible to polish a watch (but it depends on the precision of the watchmaker) if it...

Glad you like the strap combo, was a little hesitant but I think it worked out quite well. I guess the only way to get factory finish polishing is sending the watch back to Switzerland. I've heard some great stories about how IWC is able to restore cases ... 

That's how I developed into this hobby=P He has a Rolex Datejust that is 40+ years old, I should photograph it some time!
