you could spot a Panerai across the street. These days, if you don't put some Panerai "sticker" on them, the tourists wouldn't recognize one across the...bar counter :-(
A Luminor, a Radiomir, two watches belonging to the historical eponymous lines. While I have almost no doubt that the PAM 372 is THE modern Luminor to get, I have more doubts about the PAM 721. I would rather see a PAM 249 aka Radiomir " California " alon...
I don't want to be "facetious" but the summit of a MODERN Panerai should be these: PAM578 and PAM600. The 721 and 372, could have been the..summit of a modern Panerai if the swiss hadn't taken a whole different...path Ciao ...
...the chance to buy the 721 last year I had a difficult time deciding between it or the 372 that was also available at that moment. Owning a 233 and having a bit of a thin wrist made me finally decide for the 721. Haven’t taken it off since! If wrist siz...
The crystal has never been confirmed on the 557 from the factory ( they seem to not know..), the 372 is the perfect DNA and style, while the 995 is the more wearable while still sensuous. I will for sure get one of these three. All the best my friend, Ale...
Each has its unique appeal. 249 is simple but different, provocative, trim, comfortable. 232 is similar, yet elegant, if less unique/different. 372 is bold, strong, and rugged, with each element complementing the other. Fiddy may be the ultimate modern ve...
If I were to exclude ltd eds. If I were to pair my 372, the 249 would be on the top of my list for a 2-piece Panerai collection. Barring a 249, I would go with a 720 (I love the font). If I'd go for a 3-piece combo, i'd have to pick out a 1940 case to mat...
but the idea of a..regular production..47mm Radiomir, must have scared be bejeezus out of the Swiss. That's why they created the 45mm line (210- 231-190-183-380) which went rather well. A 47mm Luminor 1950 "brute" is much more sellable, since all the..muc...
But even at 45mm, they don't have a base equivalent (when I say reg prod I mean current catalog) to match the 372. The 210 isn't in production anymore and the ones in the catalog with the logo don't cut it as a base for me (much less those with an 8 days ...

I've never understood why they didn't make a..stronger..45mm Radiomir. Maybe they didn't want to mess around with the maison's history too much. In fact after the 210, the (for me) horrible 183 was followed by the one I still consider the most horrible PA...
But it's a ltd ed. I liked the 232 but for the sapphire crystal although the OOR had a plexi(?) But yes, except for that ltd ed technicality, it's the closest rad sis to the 372!
