The SANTOS 100 is a great watch...and a great addition to your collection
Im not saying its better than the 312 ( I dont think so), but due to your current collection, it would not be a bad idea to add a dressy white faced watch.
I have to say that is georgeous, classic and iconic piece IMHO, and looks terriffic with suit.
Just open your mind a little. There is life apart Panerai, mate!
And its your fiancee gift....so let her decide also. (Just a little) . If you push a lot...she will feel its not her gift....
If Panerai then is the decition, get the 312 if budget is factor as you say.

If you want to go classic and dressy why not...
