Im not saying its better than the 312 ( I dont think so), but due to your current collection, it would not be a bad idea to add a dressy white faced watch. I have to say that is georgeous, classic and iconic piece IMHO, and looks terriffic with suit. Just... 

... look at the Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Grand Taille instead of the Cartier? Impossible to get a more classic watch in my opinion And maybe a suitable engraving to remember the occasion? A fantastic watch that you both can wear and enjoy! Just an of topi...
