PAM 317
This is one watch that is really tough to get. I received mine in October 2009. I spoke to the AD recently, he said that there are several people on the waiting list. A 2nd Pam 317 is only expected to arrive at this AD in about 6 months. So if you can get one, do not think twice. Chances of discontinuing this model with just one series of 500 pieces is very high given the complexity of manufacturing the PVD movement. Too good!

i have heard they have had many problems with this model i dont understand why though i wouldnt be surprised if they did stop production not sure what is list on this piece

Correct me if I am wrong. THE 317 like the 292 is not a SE. 339 is. It was never in the SE section to being with... You can find it under current edition so it couldn't possibly have been stopped... it's current run of mill production 2008-current.
I'm the last person to guess...
but I think it is clear that panerai has telegraphed that it won't be making the 317 w/ a pvd movement after the initial run given the 'short cut' they took with the 335. Although I haven't seen the 335 in person, I suspect it gives 80% of the look with 0...

As of February 2009, the price in USA was US$25,600. I am not sure of the 2010 price. Will let you know as soon as I have more information.
