Congratulations on this important Panerai acquisition! Truly a great Panerai that is worth celebrating!
First of all, I'm glad to see that it does say "Marina Militare" on the dial instead of the other concoctions that were speculated upon.
Grat looking piece and I am truly looking forward to hopefully be getting my own 339 too!
The aluminum composite case is truly something unique, I'm told the case starts off as a block of aluminum and is placed in a vacuum oven. In this vacuum oven a piece of metal is burned and the gaseous form of this metal is deposited onto the actual metal case from my understanding by electrically charging the case to attract these fused metallic particles.
Now you have two iconic watches with the 8 Giorni Brevettato logo on it, one of the most beautiful designs ever installed on a Panerai dial!
I'm sure this watch will bring you much enjoyment my brother, for you can never feel blue with this watch on your wrist! Furthermore, I cannot imagine a more deserving person to have this special watch on their wrist!
