With regards to the winding, indeed the OP 2002/7 calibre does not have a lock function even when fully wound, it "slips" instead. And depending on the piece that you have you will hear a change in the "clicking" sound of the barrel when wound and when it has reached it's maximum.
Some of the pieces that house the same movement does NOT have this change in sound though, and in general the watchmakers from Panerai recommends about 160 full turns of the crown to bring the movement to a fully wound state.

The twist would be that they actually produce more 339's with the "MM" inscription on the dial and less with " Radomir". Consequently, the Radomir version would become the rarer version. I wouldn't put it behind them. Guess we will have to wait and see. B...
