My new Panerai
Last year we had a long discussion in the forum about this 929. I wanted a Radiomir but was not sure to buy this one. Some purist friends found the dial too busy/made up. I also felt not convinced and gave up then.
Time to time I go to Panerai’s website and check the models and honestly speaking there is not much I really like but this 929 always tickled me. Then last month I went to the boutique tried it once more and this time I was sold and decided to pull the trigger. Things I like; strap, sand blasted case, low thickness (compared to the 422 I have), 8 days reserve. It would be great if there was a pr indicator at the back of the watch. Looks like it will be mine for a long time.
I will be in Milan in October and stop by the Panerai boutique for this one and my 422, I heard they have many strap options😊

Will update if I have new straps.
That goes to show.....
that in certain circumstances, you can rationalize and be negatively influenced all you want BUT, if come to like the object the only thing that counts it's the....gut! Congratulations for your acquisition and enjoy it too much
One of my favourite
I had the privilege of handling this piece, and loved it. Particularly I found the sandblasted case very different, and appreciate the symmetrical layout of the dial. Of the entire catalogue today, I think I’d get this or the submersible 42mm with a steel...
If you check the radiomirs in the current catalogue this one stands out. The case is shaped very well and it is comfortable.
While purists have some issues with the historical inaccuracy of the 992, as an owner, I love how it comes together. It is robust enough for my motorbike and the ocean, but doesn’t feel too oversized to wear with a winter sweater or blazer. The blued hand...
Dont worry, it broke
After some 6m and 8m cliff jumps it broke. But i found it an hour later and it is at Tiffany & Co getting repaired. The watch was way tougher than the bracelet haha.
It also looks fine on your wrist. Let us know if you get one.
