Anthony, you were right. I should have used MSRPs for both.
But my point remains that, IMHO, it is more justified to pay 14K for a 233 with manufacture movement (8-days, GMT, day/night indicator) than to pay 19K for a ROO with a common JLC based movement with a modular chrono.
Yes, the new ROOs come with manufacture movements, but by the same token, should they justify their prices compared to many other manufactures' offerings with in house movements and same, if not better and more exclusive, finishings? many brands come to mind including BP, Chopard, GO, JLC, just to name a few.
I guess my point is that movement finishing, while important, is just one part of the equation. Brand equity, to me, is the most important factor determining the market value of a watch.
