I was under the same impression as Nicolas E - 2002
But I Guess it could be up to H - 2005 with the submersible 24 and 25.
I guess a a picture from the community could confirm this.

Question. When did Panerai change tritium to luminova.
What year in general did they change the dial from "T swiss made T" to "L swiss made L". Was model specific like dive watches pr Luminor vs Radiomir. Thanks Bill

For most watches I am pretty sure it was the "C" model, but
the Submersibles didn't change until much later -- maybe "H" was first year for Luminova for them?
Till G, Submersibles had tritium dial. Till Be for the luminors...
And for Luminors, things are less clear. Some had T dials, others had Luminova, in the B Series... Best, Nicolas
With an exception with the later 243. The first series came with Tritium dial.

The use of tritium indices was..outlawed..in 2000.
The Submersible models of Panerai, continued being fitted with Tritium ONLY because of a "loop-hole". Instead of being classified as watches (and having to comply with the ban) they were instead classified as....PROFESSIONAL INSTRUMENTS....and, as such, c...

As for the other lines, especially the Luminor, do you remember that the 4 and 9 B had mixed dials? A first part of the production came with T dials, when the others came with L dials. Best, Nicolas

That's correct, Anthony. Thing is, the ban on T dials...
as of years 2000, was not ONLY for Panerai but all the watchmakers (Rolex, for one, discontinued their T dials too). I guess the radioactivity of tritium and "tree hugging" just didn't go...hand in hand :-) Ciao

And for The Explorers and the GMTs, the turning point is 1997. For the Daytona, it was till 1999. I think it is the same for Explorers and Seadwellers. The last series of Daytona 16520 in 2000 was Lumniova, indeed.
