I got these thought from a fellow collector.

I don't really see the new models as replacements...if they are, they aren't in the spirit of 000, or 005. I think the lack of a screw on back is deal breaker for me. I actually think that the springbars are just fine...I have chewed up my screws and screwholes and lugs with screwdirvers. I have considered getting springbars for my zero...a few vendors sell them and they have slots on one side to emulate the screw.

I think that the new models are a way to phase out the lower end models, but the feature set may be a mistake.

To be honest, the closed 6 and 9 throw me off more than the other stuff...just doesn't look historic to me.

I only do not understand why they made these watches. They are cheaper but the quality is less a snap back is unacceptable for a diver watch, they always used screwed in backs and there is no reason to change that I thought they wanted to go all the way a...

Entry level??? Not sure where the strategy is going but too much dilution will not help. I don't think they will win any fans - snap back and spring bars??? Bill
