Again, thank you so much for your informed post. I agree, 300M is more
than enough, and is certainly much deeper than I have an intention of
going (unless someone's tied a rock to my ankle and tossed me
overboard). And you're probably right about the lugs, since judging
from the pictures, it seems that the proportions haven't changed a whit
from the 44mm variants. Oh, well, so much for saving money on the
articulated rubber bracelet, which I view as a must-have for JLC's diving
series.
No matter, I'll be stopping my AD tomorrow during lunch to inquire
about putting down a deposit on this beauty (and maybe picking up a
Memovox as well...).

PS - With respect to extreme water-resistance ratings, yes,
they're gratuitous at best, however I must confess that I do get a kick
out of the engineering that makes such pieces possible. For instance,
as ridiculous as my UTS 3000M is, I'd never part with it. Same goes
for my IWC Aquatimer 2000, and MCDC ;-)
