Jaeger-LeCoultre

Will probably take the plunge...

Again, thank you so much for your informed post.  I agree, 300M is more than enough, and is certainly much deeper than I have an intention of going (unless someone's tied a rock to my ankle and tossed me overboard).  And you're probably right about the lugs, since judging from the pictures, it seems that the proportions haven't changed a whit from the 44mm variants.  Oh, well, so much for saving money on the articulated rubber bracelet, which I view as a must-have for JLC's diving series.

No matter, I'll be stopping my AD tomorrow during lunch to inquire about putting down a deposit on this beauty (and maybe picking up a Memovox as well...).

Regards,
Adam

PS - With respect to extreme water-resistance ratings, yes, they're gratuitous at best, however I must confess that I do get a kick out of the engineering that makes such pieces possible.  For instance, as ridiculous as my UTS 3000M is, I'd never part with it.  Same goes for my IWC Aquatimer 2000, and MCDC ;-)
