I didn't compare the NS Auto with the Deep Sea, as they don't play, IMO, in the same category.
I compared it to the Rolex Sub, which is its closest competitor.
What you say about a Military use is indeed true, but it is true for any good mechanical watch.
As I previously said, the SEALs don't receive this watch as a dotation watch, but according to the agreement they have with JLC, the SEALs are a LABORATORY for JLC.
So, they test the watches for JLC to improve their weak points, which is a good thing, IMO.
As for the case of the NS Auto it is in stained SS, which is darker than polished SS, but clearer than titanium...A kind of mid way, in fact.
Here, at the contrary of the N S Alarm, there is no alarm at all.
So, to me, it is a good watch to dive with, for which it was made for.
And a more original alternative to the eternal Rolex Subs.
That was my point.
