My Rolox Ostarmatic has an exhibition case back. The salesman told me that the battery assists the mechanical movement by powering the lights on the hands and indices at night. I’m sorry I’m not a professional. I just can’t look at a movement and tell whether it’s quartz or not—that’s what you experts are for.
The earlier thread got me thinking....
...how it might look without a date and the 'AUTOMATIQUE'. I have extremely limited artistic skills, and my photoshop license expired a while ago, but here's a rough idea! As close as I could get with MS Paint! ...

I can’t pinpoint exactly why I see such a difference between the original dial and this modified dial, but what I do no is tha5 somehow the modified dial is empty. Too empty

OK, one more version. No date, but with AUTOMATIQUE
I can't fill the hands, as a) I don't know how and b) I think that'd be a terrible idea. The hands are perfect! v2! ...

The “automatique” does balance the dial to my eye. This no-date version could make for an interesting boutique limited edition.
