This is looks a gorgeous variation in my opinion.

The dial is first not mat but shiny which enhanced the color vibrance of this color between green and black. The “degradé” is such that it makes a vintage look that remembers that Polaris is an old traditional model from JLC.
The center is like the iris of an Eye very bright and then the outside is more industrial look with the black essence, a certain “metallic rugosity” below the laquer.
Sober because only date (and true could have been in a another color not white). Good Readability, well a Diver Watch.
Really something to see in real.

Be sure it will have very pro lover and haters, but look the Hulk, people were loving it don’t regret it !

Newsflash: Jaeger Lecoultre Polaris Date Green.

 By: amanico : May 12th, 2022-16:00
I could take some pictures of this new Polaris Date when I was at Watches and Wonders, and will review it a bit later, but here is a first picture, an official one, of it. 42 mm steel case, 13, 92 mm high, Cal 899 " new generation " which means 70 Hours p...

looks nice

How did you like it when handling it? It looks sharp!, however, not for me... when something is ¨trendy¨ like the green dials lately, it looses appeal to me... and in the case of Polaris, I think JLC raised the bar too high with the tribute version :P

Cool, but not for me.

 By: amanico : May 12th, 2022-16:07

My exact same feeling

 By: bsandovalb : May 12th, 2022-16:11
It is like the Polaris Perpetual.... I just cannot couple with the idea of a ¨Diver¨ with a PC, maybe it is just the Neandethal in me :P

When I first saw this I was really impressed with their hue of green , and at the same time…

wondered what your opinion would be. I will look forward to your review, but with regards to what you guys are saying about the ‘green trend’ I have to ask: in the past whenever blue was first introduced and then became a standard, was that also not trend...

Mmm...

Could they have selected a less attractive shade of green?

Yes, that is true.

 By: TeutonicCarFan : May 12th, 2022-17:50
Not so sure about the date window in white. I am looking for something new for work as I need to send my trusty speedy for service (it's 10 yr old- not malfunction at all but want to make sure seals and such good). The ceramic bathyscaphe, LUC gmt black a...

By now I may have seen just one green watch too much to really get excited.

 By: jlux : May 12th, 2022-20:37
Other than that it is quite an attractive watch but please dear watch brands : no more green !!

I have to agree.

 By: amanico : May 12th, 2022-21:23

Now imagine that watch without the date☺️

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : May 13th, 2022-16:49

Agreed, once again... But there is also this available. 41 mm.

 By: amanico : May 13th, 2022-22:17
41 mm case: In black or in blue. ...

Since 2018.

 By: amanico : May 13th, 2022-22:23

The watch does not seem to be on their website yet

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : May 12th, 2022-23:14

Yup!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : May 13th, 2022-16:44

:p

 By: amanico : May 13th, 2022-20:27

Cool.. but why 42 mm? If i am not mistaken, previous polaris date is 41 mm.

 By: hoseachandra : May 12th, 2022-23:03
Why enlarge without reason? And have they fixed the main problem with polaris : the upper crown was easily turned by accident because it does not screwed down.

No, 42 mm.

 By: amanico : May 13th, 2022-06:55

Thank you Nico. My mistake.

 By: hoseachandra : May 13th, 2022-09:40

No problem, mon ami.
