On this model, the date, logo and 2 index tips at 3 and 9 form a perfect circle within the circle. So, I think the date works VERY WELL on this piece. To me, this piece is as beautiful as the Patrimony or ANY Calatrava.

I like the date, however...
I would have preferred a little extra $ in the construction: make the date wheel the same color as the dial and make the date font silver to match the index markers. -Dean
