Regarding date I can see how it would look empty without on a 40mm time only and I can also see how many buyers seem to want one. Me for one do not find the date necessary as I have a smartphone surgically attached to my hand when I am not at my desk.

In this case and many others for that matter, I wish the date could be made less obtrusive on the dial. Here you have a gorgeous colored dial and a date window in standard black on white which is aesthetically hideous to my eyes. Why not at least use different tone on background instead of white? Different font in different tone? Or even a date hand with dates in a circle around (think Patek 5712, 5140 etc)? Anything to reduce the visual impact of the stark white square!

this is one time that I agree with you. The date here is a eye sore especially against the sunburst pattern! Sincerely and Respectfully Joseph

I would have preferred a little extra $ in the construction: make the date wheel the same color as the dial and make the date font silver to match the index markers. -Dean

I think that this 40mm MUT is one of those rare watches which actually benefits from having a the date window. When I tried one on, I was surprised that the dial seemed to be a huge expanse —— Without the date window, it would be as barren as the plains o...

On this model, the date, logo and 2 index tips at 3 and 9 form a perfect circle within the circle. So, I think the date works VERY WELL on this piece. To me, this piece is as beautiful as the Patrimony or ANY Calatrava. -Dean
