Hi Christian,
since you asked for my opinion I gonna share it.
I don't like re-editions to begin with.
This sort of products should be limited to brands like Heuer, Omega etc.
From an accounting point of view understandable but for a die-hard collector
like me a "no-go".
Actually I'm happy to have sold my *original* Polaris since I couldn't stand
people asking me if it is original or re-edition. :p
My European Deep Sea Alarm is my favorite anyway.
I have to admit they did a quite good job. But I need to see the caseback design
in detail. I don't see any reason to do it snap back when the used movement is a full
rotor. A screw back design like the so called Polaris II would have done a much better job.
The much too large date window is awful, but hopefully changed for the final edition.
Last but not least I'm happy JLC didn't use the "Italian market" sort of hands...
Btw. funny to read how the Manufactur tries to support their own "urban legend" about
these hands.
Cheers - Ilja
PS: I really like your style Christian!
