Times and people have changed, so I'm pleased to read you here again (although there aren't many collectors around to exchange much on vintage here).
Regarding the Polaris, I pretty much share your opinion.
Nicely done, but not really for us...
I'll probably get to see it in the flesh tonight.
And I'll probably wear that for the occasion (might ring a bell to you 
)

Finally....
... a re-edition that can truly claim to be a re-edition as opposed to an ' homage ' or an 'interpretation' - and not one, but two!! ["But wait, there's more...!!"]. For many, this is a great outcome. It will also be interesting to know what readers think...
