I have had bad experiences with AP, Blancpain, Patek, Rolex,.etc...like everyone else. These manufacturers are responsible for hundreds to thousands of employees so I do understand that there could be incidents where a customer gets neglected or overlooked.
The ONLY other way to make sure customer service is optimal is to go with a true Independent such as RW Smith, Kari Voutilainen, Rexhep Rexhepi, etc...as you deal directly with the watchmakers themselves. Besides that, you will unfortunately have to go through the chain of command like everyone else, unless you personally know the higher ups.
Same could be said in any field (tech, finance, etc...).
You had an unfortunate incident with a JLC watch which was not handled to your satisfaction. It is understandable that you would be disappointed and take your business elsewhere as that is your right. Happens all the time in every aspect of life. I just wanted to give you an option to better resolve any issues in the future. No more than that.
I have close to 100 watches in my collection (mostly modern with several dozen vintage Rolex and Omegas) from a dozen different manufacturers. If I judged any of them on one bad experience, I probably would not own a single watch as these are tools that have imperfections regardless if they costs several hundred thousand dollars or euros.
JLC is a brand I love and have followed for over 15 years. Unfortunately they are not what they once were during the Lambert era but some of us are hopeful for their future as they remain an amazing and true manufacturer in every sense of the word ππ
