Accurate analysis

I left 6 years ago, disappointed with those multiple incidents which happened in a short time with JLC and also due to many life events. I did not buy anything and just admired pieces from afar.

Similarly, I had a terrible experience repairing my AP brought about by a very rude woman working in the after sales department who was condescending. The repair cost was somewhere in the $4k ballpark for a basic movement cleaning, new hands, and a bezel repolish. But, when I collected the piece, the regional manager came out to pass me the piece, and taught me how to set the date function. He was a jolly man and it reversed the incident. It goes to show leadership is very critical.

I had 3 rolexes, 1 cartier, 2 omegas, and 2 longines serviced at the official service centres when I was still living in Singapore. The service process was without hitches or divas. I hope you don’t label me as a complaining sort, but rather, an honest person. My motive was β€œbuyers beware of the pitfalls I suffered, owners look out and take action to protect themselves from a similar disaster”.

I would never prescribe treatment that I would not give to my loved ones if they were the patient instead, but this world can be a very dark place and good intentions may sting at first, only to be seen as good later down the track.

I guess I’m back now for the moment, until some other life event takes precedence over this hobby/addiction.

Take care and thank you. You have brought about good feedback and suggestions for me.

How is the articulated rubber holding up?

Never had a problem and I have had 3 different articulated rubber bracelets for several compressor models...

take a look at the photos I just took of this NSA. I have worn this watch through some crazy and extreme activities and it has never skipped a beat nor has the bracelet failed in any way. I don't even see any wear which is shocking to be honest πŸ™„ 😳 ...

Looks lovely!

I would want to own one of these one day. Maybe you can adopt me, 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

Never too late to get one. It is still one of my favorites from the JLC sports references...

although I respect the history and looks of the Polaris and Deep Sea lines, the Navy Seals line (especially the Alarm) has the best mix of modern tech while still being true to their heritage. I don't even understand why anyone would choose anything else ...

NSA too

My fav watch that I will never wear again

Loved it so much at first, then later I hated it so much. I brought it with me on so many adventures, loved the ceramic and titanium, and the loud alarm. I recall the loud ring underwater, and it often made other divers look around to find the source of t...

Very strange to hear and maybe a bit of bad luck...

I have owned probably over 50 JLC watches over the years and never once did I have a problem due to a manufacturer defect. I live a very active lifestyle playing multiple impact sports such as golf, squash, tennis, running, hiking, etc...and I have worn s...

Nevermind about it, I accepted it.

I had sent 2 emails to them, no reply. That was 9 years ago in 2011. It is an inherent problem with the bonding process between metal and ceramic for which some adhesive was used for this design. Back then, a few other members om this forum posted the exa...

No problem but like I said, dealing with JLC Switzerland is much different than JLC Australia, US, or even France...

you could have talked with Nicolas (moderator here) as he is close with Jerome Lambert (ex CEO of JLC) and now CEO of the Richemont group. I am pretty sure it would have been handled without issue. And like I said, I have owned literally over 50 different...

I regret not having pursued it further

Thank you for your advice. Yes I met Mr Lambert in person at the reverso event in Singapore back then at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Back then Mr De La Porte was the director for SE Asia, and has since moved to Lange or something. I pretty much knew th...

I understand your point of view but blaming the manufacturer for bad service from a random manager or territory manager is not really fair...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : June 2nd, 2020-12:32
I have had bad experiences with AP, Blancpain, Patek, Rolex,.etc...like everyone else. These manufacturers are responsible for hundreds to thousands of employees so I do understand that there could be incidents where a customer gets neglected or overlooke...

Well said!

You are absolutely right. I’m sorry I wrote about real experiences. It is what it is. Nico is pretty well versed with legal matters and I believe and his line is all about facts and remedies and defences. Defences is quite a different concept from β€œdefens...

Understood and let's just agree to disagree...

if you look at the previous posts on this forum you will see that most of my JLCs come from the Lambert era as I appreciate the innovation and design during that time. I currently have 3 Duometres, an Extreme Lab 2 in Ti, this NSA, a MCDC, a MUT 34, Amvox...
