There seems to be an abundance of Polaris' re-issues available on the used market at quite heavily discounted prices. I was wondering if the issues regarding luminosity may be having a negative impact on peoples thoughts about this model? In one way I am ... 

There are a number of the Polaris '68s popping up. It could also be an issue of the economy and people needing to sell or having bought more than they could afford once the economy tanked. Also might be an issue of the usual churn, people buying and selli... 

A number of explainations could account for the amount of Polaris showing up as after sales. I am sure there are a lot out there who purchased them to make a quick buck of the back of the pre-sale hype. However, I don't think the watch has been as warmly ...

Well there are watches and there are watches - Breitling just don't do it for me (and I used to own one). I'm not overly struck by Panerai either, I just don't get the hype regarding them (once again, sorry Paneristi). As I have said, I to and frow around...

The Polaris arrived on the market at the worst moment, as it was in full financial crisis. I think that it is an explanation. Another explanation is that some guys wanted to make some quick bucks with the watch, trying to sell it. There are also some peop... 

Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with either Polaris model whatsoever and at the prices I am seeing them for lately it is a model I am seriously considering. I think the financial situation has a part to play in this, but there has been lots of discuss... 

What is significative is that I see many hot watches at a reasonnable price in the market, today. And as you said, this is a superb opportunity, not for the flippers, but for the true, sincere watch lovers! That is the most important, to my eyes. And for ... 

It's a great opportunity for lovers of this model to get a chance of ownership and good that the flippers don't make on the deal, as they took the original opportunity away from the real enthusiasts (that's terrible grammar, but I think you know what I me...

the AD that I purchased the Polaris from would not give any discount saying that it was a very hot and rare commodity new. His attitude was buy it or someone else will. I bought it and am very happy that I did. N
