Dear Nico, Once again we are indebted to you...
..for such a complete overview of these two new pieces. One thing surprises me—that no one (unless I have missed a comment) has mentioned the sportiness of this new MC Date. For me, who rarely has an opportunity to wear formal watches anymore, this is the most compelling change. Though still elegant, now the watch—at least to my eye—has gained a greater breadth of purpose, and will go well in a wider variety of circumstances. I say "Bravo!" to that.
As I have never cared for the close-set calendar windows on the more complex watch, the simpler piece would be my choice. But both have gained welcome "improvements," and of course the longer power reserve, in this day and age, was mandatory. As always, your eye and generous devotion to the brand are marvelous gifts to our community. Thank you! FH

I thoroughly enjoyed it! Having a soft spot for the MC Date, especially now in blue, this is a very compelling offering from JLC. The fine details of the dial , including the sun ray finish and second dimensional minute track add interesting depth
