why? because the first the first suffers from a lack of color , this makes the whole very dull.

Cleaner dial in general. And they've changed the typeface subtly too, I think, to a cleaner typeface. The old one was a tad cluttered visually.

I just wish that JLC would have put a visual moonphase, instead of the pointer-style, which I dislike. -Dean

I prefer the first one but...readability is poor. I recently owned a Master Grad Reveil and it was so hard to read the time under low light condition that I sold this watch. Here is the same...I guess ist better if the guys at LeSentier will spend blue ha... 

Perfect proportions...40mm...not small, but not big either (down 1.5mm from the prior version, I believe). The slimmer bezel and lugs make a big difference as well. I also like the splash of color on the newer MP 8-day. One quibble I have with both is tha... 

I prefer the power reserve and night and day indicator of the former, but I would prefer seeing them on the back side, yes. Best, Nicolas

For the colour of the moon phase and the case material

... The time in Los Angeles. So it was really around 6:00pm Paris time when you were shooting these pix with that fancy lightbox of yours! I love how the "flow" of the dial properly states the day, date, month and year. Oh yeah, I guess it was also a quar... 

I prefer the dial, it is more lively. I have been thinking about getting this as well but I wasn't sure how easy it would be to read the date as it seems quite small to the eye.
