The only thing I didn't like about the Big Pilot is that the strap is a little thin. For a 46mm strap, it has an extremely narrow strap. This is not very comfortable as it doesn't spread the width and the weight of the watch over a large surface area. It digs into your skin a tiny bit. A Panerai is 47mm yet more comfortable because the strap is super wide.

I like both of those models. The 5001 has a true Pellaton winding system. A third one for you? Maybe a Pilots watch if you like the style? Otherwise, if you like the Portugeiser, the classic Chronograph is another one of my favorites!

Although honestly, more pieces could be free sprung, even those in the lower price strata. But, at the same time, the people who pay the big bucks do need to get some differentiation for the additional costs!
