Where our tastes clearly diverge: I happen to love the "deep and narrow" port for the date and can not imagine it otherwise. It adds a tremendous sense of depth to the whole, like peering a couple of decks below the upper deck of this time-ship into the calendar date hold.

As for those days of the month when I need to be constantly reminded of the date there is always the Trio! Even that is never obtrusive, as it can be with some renowned big date watches, where I would prefer a window shutter operated by a manual pusher for whenever I want to get the date. With the Antiqua, the  date is always there if you want to see it, and, in my case, with little if any visual effort. Often the day of the week is more important to me. That is where I often get confused - but never when looking at an Antiqua.

Lots of luck finding a winding box. As Vianney has told me, both Antiqua and box were conceived as an entity from the very start of the project. The best way to get over that hurdle is to wear the Antiqua as often as you can! However, with the box you can watch the satellites rotating around themselves "in orbit";  they always settle down into a vertical position within the now become desk clock. There you can read off all the information that it has to provide and kept within a dust free atmosphere.

The crown may be small - but the ease and feel of winding never surpassed in my experience. Be sure that it is pulled out all the way when setting the time. Otherwise you may have to trek through four years of re-calibration. Just PM me if you run into any problems, so that I can provide you with some tips.

Also thanks for getting Vianney back on stage and into the limelight - into the scene. He has been too long neglected or praised for (the wrong reasons) by persons who (should) know better and even try to copy his ideas.
