I waited patiently for almost two years for the Roger Smith Series Two and....it came in just before Christmas Eve!!! Amidst my excitement, you must pardon the mug shots taken with a smart phone... It comes in a nice box - the C in the serial number stand...
Exceptional! So much diversity! It seems you have one for every mood and occasion. I wonder how this period of the beginning of the millennium will be judged in say 50 years. Probably a 'vintage' period if not a swan song? And your collection is one formi...
Each piece has its own story. I have come a rather long way to building my present portfolio, with countless joys and regrets along the this juncture, approximately one-third of my collection are from independent watchmakers, along with prominent brands ...
You will probably only have eyes for your wrist the coming days....don\'t forget to look up every now and then to see the family at your dinner table ;-) Congratulations with your piece of art!! Merry Xmas!
For sure this piece will be one of my favorites, if no the most treasured timepiece in my collection. I do intend to spend lots of time with my family...Despite the warm weather,.this promises to be a very joyful Christmas.... And happy holidays to you as...
And many congratulations on an exquisite watch! Two years is pretty quick for a Series 2 because I just placed an order last month and Roger told me that it would be ready in 2020! He obviously likes you more than me! May I ask if the engravings on the di...
I just checked my order again - it was placed in September last year, so the lead time was much quicker than I thought, though it seemed like an eternity I know this makes 2020 sound rather bad, but I placed the order through an agent that Roger uses in H...
I have ordered the last available 38mm rose gold case (40mm is a bit large for me). I have only paid the required 10% deposit which suits me just fine! That perhaps explains why your watch was expedited. Actually, I am quite happy to wait for my watch - i...
I love some Panerai, Rolex, Patek, Lange But if I could afford it .. a Smith would be my dream watch Far above Dufour or Voutilainen .... Those 2 would on the other hand still be my dream piece nr 3 and 3 Saw 2 or 3 of them in 2006 when I met Mr Smith ......
as for the Voutilainen, I prefer the older Observatoire to the more modern Vingt 8. As for the Series Two, I originally found it too traditional, but amazingly, the engraving changes everything.... Best Sam
This is a grail watch for me. In your collection is that a salmon dialed Observatoire? Merry Christmas to you and yours! Sincerely and Respectfully Joseph
You did a great job with the engraving and especially on the movement. I own Series 2 and in the future I plan to have the movement engraved similar to your watch. Have a happy and healthy holiday season and enjoy that exception work of art.
