I think that such dissenting opinions are a welcome and important sign, for they actually support Beat's notion behind the H8—at least in my view.

You wrote that you don't see the point of wearing a portable kinetic sculpture. Do you then see the point of owning a sculpture at all, in your garden for example? What I want to express with this question is that since the H8 comes without time indication it can no longer be regarded as a watch, instead it must be regarded as a sculpture. So you're not supposed to consider the H8 when you plan your next watch purchase. However, if you intend to buy your (next) work of art, you may include the H8 in your shortlist—provided you like this particular piece of art and art in general.
